The Future of Entrepreneurship
Akron groups participate in Kent State Extravaganza
Oct. 4, 2007 —ARCHAngels, the University of Akron Research Foundation and the Greater Akron Chamber reached out to Kent State University students and the Northeast Ohio community through their participation in KSU’s Entrepreneurship Extravaganza.
The groups shared a booth at the event, which attracted more than 800 attendees.
Representing the Greater Akron Chamber, ARCHAngels Executive-in-Residence John Myers shared information on the resources available to entrepreneurs through a panel on “Utilizing your E-Support Network.”
“This panel was my favorite,” one KSU student said. “It was so refreshing to know how many people are out there willing to help a new business.”
KSU’s E-Extravaganza included panels on issues faced by small business owners and entrepreneurs, as well as a reception for networking.
“It was such a great opportunity to learn from the experienced,” said an attendee. “Entrepreneurs spend so much of their time in solitude pursuing their dream, so it’s refreshing to recharge with people who understand the journey.”
