The wonderful Compton theatre organ being played by the organist Charles Brown at the amazing restored Art Deco Plaza Cinema in Stockport, England. This cinema was originally opened in October 1932, and has since been extensively restored by The Stockport Plaza Trust over the years, since they took ownership in 2000. The Plaza cinema has been restored to the exact same condition as the day it opened in 1932, with a great attention to detail, after spending many years previously as a bingo hall. So many of these wonderful old cinemas have been lost to the wrecking ball, the Plaza is a tribute to what can be done to preserve these old picture palaces of the silver screen!
