Don’t forget to subscribe! Thank you for watching.

Rolling Acres Mall, developed by Forest City Enterprises, opened its doors to a promising future on August 6, 1975. During its prime, Rolling Acres housed over 140 retail stores with a total retail floor space of 1,300,000ft. Aside from retail stores, the mall also housed a movie theater and food court.

In the late 1990’s into the early 2000’s the mall began to see an increase in crime resulting in significant loss. Crime coupled with the rise of the internet and online shopping surely played a major role in its demise. In 2008, Rolling Acres closed its doors for the final time.

Demolition began during the last week of October (2016).
This is the beginning of the end.
