12 Dogs of Christmas Ale (Regular & BBA) (2018) | Thirsty Dog Brewing Co. | Beer Review | #183-184

For today’s special Christmas Eve review, I’ve decided to do a comparison review of two beers from the Thirsty Dog Brewing Company, their 12 Dogs of Christmas Ale and Bourbon Barrel Aged 12 Dogs of Christmas Ale. Both of these are the 2018 Vintages, and the base is a Winter Warmer brewed with honey, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg, while the barrel aged version is the base beer aged in bourbon barrels for almost a year. Sounds like the perfect way to celebrate Christmas Eve to me!

Merry Christmas to all!

Commercial Description:

(12 Dogs of Christmas Ale) – This beer’s name sums up the ideas of bringing the best together to celebrate. It is filled with seasonal flavors from generous amounts of toasted and caramel malts, mixed with equally generous amounts of honey, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. We feel it is the perfect libation, filled with flavors of the season.

(Bourbon Barrel Aged 12 Dogs of Christmas Ale) – Aged in bourbon barrels for almost a year. Spiced for the holidays with honey, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg , and Santa’s secret recipe!
