The Market on State, formerly the University Mall, is a small mall in Athens, Ohio, home of Ohio University. It was opened circa 1988 and rebranded in approximately 2006. The former J. C. Penney has been closed off from the rest of the mall and turned into a Tractor Supply. The former Big Bear was converted into the Athena Grand movie theatre. The parking lot is the site of the Athens Farmers Market.
