The Market & Me is a field study created for third grade students at Akron Public Schools in partnership with GAR Foundation, Akron Public Schools, and Hale Farm and Village.
The field study is part of Essential Experiences, an initiative created to provide every preschool and elementary students at Akron Public Schools with a meaningful learning experience outside of the classroom.
The Market and Me” experience at Hale Farm & Village explores the fundamentals of goods and services with a trip back through time. Students will explore the history of the market system during the 1800s. They will bring these concepts to life by exploring modern-day markets and gaining exposure to Akron area entrepreneurs.
